The Erwin Hymer Group (EHG) and Ahorn Camp have announced a major long-term production agreement, marking a significant shift in the European motorhome and campervan market.

The deal will see Ahorn Camp's motorhomes and campervans manufactured at EHG’s advanced San Casciano plant in Italy, a move that promises higher production standards, improved quality, and enhanced design innovations.

Why This Partnership Matters

This collaboration combines Ahorn Camp's flexibility and innovative approach with EHG’s high production standards.

As a result, Ahorn Camp vehicles - built exclusively on Renault’s new Master Chassis - will benefit from industrial-grade manufacturing processes, ensuring greater reliability, functionality, and premium finishes.

According to Alexander Reichmann, CEO of Ahorn Camp, this agreement will set “new standards in quality and customer satisfaction,” while Jan de Haas, CSO of Erwin Hymer Group, emphasised the growth opportunities for all brands involved, including Renault.

Impact on UK Outdoor Leisure Vehicle Dealers

For UK motorhome and campervan dealers, this partnership signals several key opportunities and challenges:

  • Expanded Product Range: Ahorn Camp’s vehicles, known for their value-driven designs, will now be built with higher-quality materials and manufacturing precision, making them more competitive in the UK market.

  • Stronger Dealer Network: With Ahorn Camp selling through both its dealer network and Renault sales partners, UK dealers may gain access to a broader range of buyers—particularly those loyal to the Renault brand.

  • Increased Competition: The Ahorn-EHG collaboration could put pressure on other mid-range motorhome brands, as the partnership allows Ahorn Camp to deliver higher-spec vehicles at competitive prices.

What This Means for Consumers

  • Improved Vehicle Quality: Buyers can expect better-built, more reliable motorhomes, thanks to EHG’s advanced production standards.

  • Stronger Manufacturer Backing: Ahorn Camp motorhomes will now benefit from the expertise of one of Europe’s leading motorhome manufacturers, offering greater peace of mind for warranty and servicing.

  • More Choices: With Ahorn Camp’s vehicles continuing to be sold through Renault dealerships, it creates a new, widely available option for UK buyers looking for affordable yet premium motorhomes.

What’s Next?

The first Ahorn Camp vehicles under this new agreement are set to enter production in September 2025, with the official debut scheduled for Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (29th August – 7th September, 2025).

This move reshapes the competitive landscape for motorhomes in the UK, making it an important development for both dealers and consumers.
